Dark Industrial Hall

I've really enjoyed fleshing out this space that started as a tiny sketch during a lunch break. It has evolved quite a bit. Originally the space was supposed to be part of a larger project, but our team was disbanded. I designed and modeled everything in this scene. Everything was rendered in Blender.

Some of the initial sketches were on paper, but I started to concept in 3D using Blenders Grease Pencil. It is a fantastic tool especially if you want to see how repetitive elements appear without modeling everything out.

I painted the mural in Phosohop and then added procedural cracks in Blender.

Some materials were from Substance Source. Many of the materials were either modified or created entirely in Blender. Had fun creating procedural puddles and drip marks that could redistribute as soon as any transforms were applied.
